Ellen Page Joins Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell
Universal Pictures has acquired domestic and some international rights to the film, which begins shooting March 17 in L.A.
Universal Pictures chairman Marc Shmuger and co-chairman David Linde made the deal with Ghost House Pictures partners Raimi and Rob Tapert.
The film's described as a morality tale about the unwitting recipient of a supernatural curse. Pic marks a genre return for Raimi after directing a trio of Spider-Man films.
The film was scripted by Sam and Ivan Raimi, and Tapert will produce with Grant Curtis and Josh Donen. Mandate's Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake will exec produce.
The film will be next for Page, who is also attached to star in "Whip It," the directorial debut of Drew Barrymore.

What? The talented Juno star is doing a horror movie? That strikes me as odd...Maybe its the curse of bad movie choices stemming from Oscar nomination headiness.

Ellen Page is really great! Amazing role in Hard Candy. I'll love too see her in a survivor horror movie.

I haven't seen Juno, but from what I've heard Page was very good in it, hence the Oscar nomination. She was good in X3 too as Kitty. She's def becoming a rising star. The movie sounds good too, Raimi's first after coming off Spidey 3. This probably means he won't have a hand in making Spidey 4.

Sounds interesting. Ellen Page was stellar in Hard Candy and she's an overall great actress. Its also nice that Raimi's directing another horror film since Spider-Man.
