Ellen DeGeneres Will Play Mother Nature in New Comedy

Ellen DeGeneres is set to play Mother Nature in an upcoming untitled comedy from Sex and the City writer/producer Jenny Bicks. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is being produced by Walden Media.

The project finds Mother Earth returning to her planet for the first time since its creation. DeGeneres stated, "I've always wanted to control the weather. Nothing will stop me from doing this. Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet. I may be thinking of the postal service. But I'm really excited about the movie."

The comedy is being fast-tracked for a potential summer shoot in Los Angeles. The production will happen while Ellen is on hiatus from her talk show.

    ...well, having said that, i suppose the location of the moon in relation to the earth in conjunction with the earth's location in relation to the sun is what actually controls the weather, so i guess mother nature is just the earth.
    maybe she controls earthquakes... or maybe ive already put entirely too much thought into this and should get back to work.

    im sure this will be amusing but i have an issue with the description.
    mother nature didn't create the earth the universe did; mother nature IS the earth and controls it's various weather conditions.
