Oliver Stone has found his leading/First Lady. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth Banks has been cast as First Lady Laura Bush in the Oliver Stone biopic W.

Josh Brolin has already signed on to play President George W. Bush in this film about his presidency. Stone will direct and he wrote the script with Stanley Weiser, who co-wrote Stone's Wall Street.

Banks has just wrapped shooting on Kevin Smith's latest film Zack & Miri Make a Porno and will be seen later this year in Eddie Murphy's Meet Dave and Aaron Eckhart's Meet Bill.

Production on W is scheduled to begin in late April in Shreveport, Louisiana.

W. was released October 17th, 2008 and stars Josh Brolin, Colin Hanks, Toby Jones, Dennis Boutsikaris, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Scott Glenn, Richard Dreyfuss. The film is directed by Oliver Stone.
