@corey That is possibly the best observation and meaning for Bloom being in the film, and i'll concur with the Pirate statement. Its just impossible to take Bloom serious in this film due to his costumes and the dumb looks he does that makes him look like a poof.
@ejk1 I think Dumas is doing a lot more than rolling in his grave, his probably fantasising on ways to assassinate Anderson

@jayaottley I feel like they are trying too hard to make this feel like a Pirates of the Caribbean kind of adventure flick. That's the only explanation for Bloom being here. The guy is far better off with drama films, in my opinion.

@bawnian-dexeus pretty much yeah, but i prefer the olden style Musketeers rather than this slight sci-fi modernisation with flying ships and all that, and the film would had ben way better off without bloom

Saw this film today, it was pretty awesome, its more modernised but its hard trying to take Orlando Bloom serious the way he acts,not a bad popcorn flick though and some good 3d effects
