Hundreds of enthusiastic superhero fans will descend upon Universal CityWalk to catch the eagerly awaited midnight screenings of The Dark Knight Rises, the final installment in Christopher Nolan's popular Batman trilogy, at the Universal CityWalk Cinemas and IMAX.
To celebrate the film's opening and coincide with the screenings, Universal CityWalk will also host the first public display in Los Angeles of the film's iconic 2.5-ton, Camo Tumbler, that was first introduced in its original camouflage color scheme in "Batman Begins."
Fans and movie-goers visiting Universal CityWalk for this opportunity will also be treated to an entertaining Batman-inspired party, complete with DJs performing sets at 5 Towers, CityWalk's state-of-the-art outdoor concert venue, which features live music every weekend.
Universal CityWalk Cinemas, located adjacent to 5 Towers concert venue (100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA 91608) features the best movie going experience in L.A. and is equipped with comfortable, stadium-style seating and 19 screens, including a 7-story IMAX.
The Dark Knight Rises, a Warner Brothers film, stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman.

I think it's going to break it. I know in my city, we have 2 movie theaters. The first theater has 30 filming areas and the second has 16, each theater sitting about 200 people, and they are all sold out for Midnight...

I think it for sure breaks the IMAX and midnight record, and will overall be the biggest movie of the year. guess time will tell
