Good look ya'll. It's easy to let something like this get out of hand for no reason, and it's nice to see a bit of levelheadedness on the message boards.

Well I actually want to apologize for that. In reality I'm really just annoyed with a friend of mine at the moment and took it out on a dumb internet posting. So "moviegeek151" and "TheREALavatah", I apologize.

Hahaha Wow, LOVE "lmviverette". Haha I needed a good laugh man you rock. "Calm yourself" =.... Haha Awesome. Well I for one don't think the lmviverette dude argued on your behalf, seems more like moviegeeks fault. Either way, argument aside, I agree with what lmviverette said. About the movie title that is. His burn against moviegeek was just funny. Lol

Ya'll don't need to have an argument on my behalf. Let's just let it go. I didn't take offense to anything said.

"Calm yourself" = "Person can't make his own point so they go off that of other's." = "Person has no life and probably doesn't get laid often." = I am now annoyed. Lol Please give it a break. I never once said I wasn't being defensive of the title or said that the other person wasn't either. I simply told "TheRealwhatever" person what he or she could do if they didn't like it. And now the same is directed toward you. :/ I mean, it kind of makes sense. Sooo.... yeah. And clearly YOU are now being defensive as well. So "CALM YOURSELF."

@Imatureviverette Calm yourself.
"Go read an learn something" = Person is becoming defensive.
"If you don't like it why bother to even look it up or comment on it." = Person is becoming defensive.
Mr. REAL showed no disrespect towards this movie, hence, "Calm yourself" = Person is annoyed.

"Sspiro" has a point. There is no need for them to calm themselves when I don't think he/she was worked up to begin with. They were just pointing out a fact about the movie. Tyler Perry wants to make an honest movie that will grip people, and yes the word is old but it is based on story written long ago, therefore it must remain true to it's roots. If you don't like it why bother to even look it up or comment on it. Don't bother to even see the movie. Lol

@Sspiro I'll pass, doesn't sound like it would interest me. But you can enjoy.

@TheRealavatah ... You must not realize that this is based on a play written in 1975. So it's entirely appropriate to keep the title the way it is. Go read it and learn something.

Well, truthfully, I don't know anything about the source material, I just think its an outdated word, and I'm of the perception that if you don't want a word used or said anymore, don't say it or use it yourself. But I gots mad respect for Tyler Perry, I love most of his work, so its all good.

@TheREALavatah, I think that is kind of the point.

Full title: For Colored Girl Who Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf. I like the brevity.

Using the word "colored" to describe black people seems so dated now.
