No Plans for an Incredible Hulk sequel
"No," he stated when asked if Marvel Studios (the production company behind the films) had any current plans to do another Hulk film. "I think they've got a whole lot of stuff to spool out before they get on into [a Hulk sequel]."
Norton however didn't rule out delving back into the Bruce Banner role.
"We'll see what they want to do," he said. "I figure it's a ways down the road."
When asked about possibly appearing in projects like Iron Man 2, Thor or The First Avenger: Captain America, MTV reports that the much sought after actor has "no plans" to be in those movies.
The Incredible Hulk was released June 13th, 2008 and stars Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt, Tim Blake Nelson, Ty Burrell, Christina Cabot, Peter Mensah. The film is directed by Louis Leterrier.

Yeah Fratson, I agree. Norton was perfect. He mastered the character's emotional conflict. If they do finally do a sequel and get off of their asses and get Norton back, I'll be there wating for the theater to open.
By the way, have you seen Planet Hulk? It's a pretty cool new take on Hulk. I liked it. Check it out if you haven't already. Not for the kiddies. Pretty graphic.

I don't see the need for a Hulk sequel. He's not an interesting enough central character, at least not in the way they've been using him. I do think he'll work as the villain in Avengers, because that's the route they've gone in Ultimate Avengers and it was a good storyline.

i don't really care about a hulk sequel im not a big fan of the character to be completely honest, but they without a doubt do have to him in the avengers as the bad guy or a good guy or the guy in between idc but its the spirit of the comics it wouldn't be right without him

Hulk needs to be more than just the "bad guy." Banner was able to control his transformations to a certain extent at the end of the film. The whole idea of "aiming" the Hulk at a specific target like Banner does to the Abomination is something the Avengers could use to their advantage against the actual villain.

Mmm_mmm, I like your idea as Hulk being the bad guy in the Avengers. I'm guessing that you mean by the end he becomes one of them.

yeah, couldn't make the Hulk seem as great on screen as he does in the comic books, sorry kids. Not good enough

Yeah, as it's probably been said on here before.
Hulk is going to be the bad guy in the Avengers. I guarantee.

Her's a link to an a rumor back in August about a Hulk cameo in Ironman 2. I hope it turns out to be true.

Damn that sucks. Norton was the right choice to play Bruce Banner, hopefully they decide to have him in the Avengers movie, I read somewhere that they will only have the Hulk and not Banner, seemed pretty odd and stupid to me, but maybe read it wrong.

3 things come to mind why I didn't like Lee's Hulk: Pacing, CGI, and the hulk dogs.
I do agree with Todd89 that they should have perhaps Hulk and/or Banner cameos in movies leading up to the Avengers movie. Wasn't there a rumor that he may have a cameo in Ironman 2? Time for me to check imdb.

What they should do now is just show a shot of the Hulk in certain films but not engage the character or just have Norton walk down a street and staying hidden in plain sight.
It shows that Marvel doesn't really care to much about the character to warrant another film.
I enjoyed both versions of the Hulk, Lee's version was just dead on as was the second, both had top notch actors and the pacing was great. I don't really understand why people didn't like the first.

I kinda figured this would happen since it didn't bring in the money like Ironman. Sad too, since this reboot was much much better then the other with Bana. They may change their mind, or I should say I hope. I'm happy to see that he is still interested in playing Banner. Yeah, I thought Bana was a good choice too but I'm a Norton fan. Norton's Banner was different and pretty good.

He'll be back for The Avengers. And I'm sure if he was doing a cameo in one of the other movies he wouldn't talk about it. The studio would want to try and keep it a suprise.

I AM FRATSON
I liked norton as banner/hulk. I think the Hulk is such a complex character that people dont jump on board like they do with Iron Man/Batman/etc...yes all the characters are complex, but it always seem like people dont understand/cant relate to him. He is personally one of my favorite characters in the superhero universe. If they dont continue with that story I will truly be pissed.

The Incredible Hulk is underrated as a comic book movie. I thought it was just as good as Iron Man. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I liked it better. It captured the spirit of the character, both Banner and the Hulk, in a way that increased the action level from Lee's version, but never became a "dumb" movie. This is a bummer. I was interested to see the Leader...maybe he'll show up in the Avengers?
Speaking of the Avengers, if there's not a sequel to the Incredible Hulk, he at least has to show up in the Avengers...Norton as Banner AND the Hulk. You can't just have the Hulk in there without Banner.

eric bana was perfect. HULK'03 only lacked some real action, but the writting was so character driven and emotional.
Norton was also good as bruce. i'm SURE they'll get him back. just not right now.
