Edward Norton's Leaves of Grass pushed for a summer release
"Very good news, the film has been picked up by a new company and will be given a much wider summer release. Details to come but we're all really happy because now it will likely get to many more cities than just NY and Dallas. This happened very much due to great audience response and reviews and press out of SxSW. So huge thanks to everybody in Austin."
In Leaves of Grass, Bill Kincaid, a college classics professor (Norton) is lured home from the Ivy League to the backwoods of Southeastern Oklahoma by his identical twin (also Norton), a hedonistic, pot- smoking career criminal. Kincaid finds that Plato and Marcus Aurelius have ill-prepared him for dealing with a gang of homicidal yokels.
There is presently no word on when this film will come to theaters.
Leaves of Grass was released September 17th, 2010 and stars Edward Norton, Lucy DeVito, Kent Jude Bernard, Amelia Campbell, Tim Blake Nelson, Randal Reeder, Leo Fabian, Tina Parker. The film is directed by Tim Blake Nelson.
