Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas and Fergie Sing on the Shrek the Third Soundtrack

Fergie's cover of Heart's classic "Barracuda" and a duet between Eddie Murphy (as Donkey) and Antonio Banderas (as Puss in Boots) on Sly & the Family Stone's "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again)" lead the soundtrack to Shrek the Third, according to Billboard Magazine

The album will be released on May 15th on Geffen Records and the DreamWorks film opens three days later in U.S. theaters.

Murphy has previously sung the Monkees' "I'm a Believer" and Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca" as Donkey on the first two Shrek soundtracks, which have sold 3.6 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The album will also include Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song," Paul McCartney and Wings' "Live and Let Die," Harry Chapin's "Cat's in the Cradle," the Ramones' "Do You Remember Rock'n'Roll Radio" and eels' "Royal Pain."

Songs by Wolfmother, Macy Gray, Matt White and Trevor Hall round out the soundtrack.

Shrek the Third was released May 18th, 2007 and stars Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas, Julie Andrews, John Cleese, Rupert Everett, Eric Idle. The film is directed by Chris Miller, Raman Hui.
