Ed Helms is Rusty Griswold in Vacation reboot
Sadly, they've gone with their The Hangover star Ed Helms, who, honestly, doesn't strike us as a convincible offspring of Chevy Chase. Whatever. This will be the fifth time that the role of Rusty Griswold has been rebooted.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, writers of 2011's Horrible Bosses, will direct from a screenplay that they penned together. The story willl follow Rusty as he embarks on a family summer vacation of his own that is reminiscent of the one he took 30 years ago to the day with his ol' pops Clark Griswold.
It is rumored that both Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo will appear in the film in some capacity, but that has yet to be confirmed by New Line Cinemas or Warner Bros. Our hope is that they can get Anthony Michael Hall, Johnny Galecki, Jason Lively, and Ethan Embry together for a Rusty reunion. We'd definitely pay to see that.
Vacation comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo. The film is directed by John Francis Daley, Jonathan M. Goldstein.

This is completely worthless. Without Anthony Michael Hall there is no point in making this movie. Toss it in the trash.

nobody, and i mean nobody could replace chevy chase in a film, all i will say about this is, if you HAD to make a choice, this one wouldn't be the worst. But still it would be like rebooting caddyshack and recasting bill murrays role.
