The Dark Knight
According to the site, the film will be released in a two-disc DVD edition, a a steelbook two-disc special edition, a Batpod collectors edition, a Batman mask special edition and the Blu-Ray edition. No details have surfaced on what special features will be released on these discs, but apparently rumored release dates of either December 2 or December 9 have been floating around. The Dark Knight was released July 18th, 2008 and stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Monique Gabriela Curnen. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

Does anyone know what the aspect ratio will be? I hope it's somewhere around 2.35:1 or 2.40:1
I don't really remember what the ratio was theatrically.

True. I was thinking that they could go with the other 2 poters of Joker & Harvey, one with a Joker card, and the other with a campaign pin. You know, the ones that matched with the Batman artwork. The 3-way poster thing? Except instead, just release those 3 individualy, so we'd have a choice between Batman holding his Batarang, Joker with his card, or Harvey with his pin. That woulda been cool. But you're definitely right that this was Joker's movie over Batman's.

I am pretty sure it's legit. JoBlo is usually right on. Although I do feel that they should have used the Joker art where he is walking away from view, knife in hand. And also the mask edition should have been the Joker clown mask from the movie intro. That would have been cool. You know, this was Ledger's/Joker's movie over Batman's, they should have reflected that with some of the cover art. I do like the steelbook cover though.

I've got steelbooks for the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" "Die Hard" & "T2: Judgement Day." If TDK is indeed released in steelbook form, then I'll be picking it up for sure.

Well guys, I'm getting the Steelbook 2-disc Special Edition. I'd have to say those Steelbooks are impressive, my only Steelbook is of X2: X-men United and it is a great edition. So this will be a great addition.
BTW, I have fan-related TDK DVD special features on my The Dark Knight review, just in case some of you have not seen them and want to know some ideas of mine that could make the DVD. You'll have to scroll down to the bottom, and its a long way down.

Haha TDK owned the Summer and now.. it will own Christmas. XD I can't wait!!!!! What I want the most is lots of making-of extras and stuff. But that Bat Mask is so cool.. O_o And the Bat Pod!! I might just have to buy the two editions.
