According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dylan McDermott will be the lead in the new pilot, The Line. The show, for TNT, will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Warner Horizon.

Following undercover officers on the LAPD, the show looks at the jobs they do and how sometimes they end up on the wrong side of the law they are sworn to uphold.

McDermott will star as Lt. Andre Carter. He has been around a long time and he "created" and runs the unit he currently works in.

The pilot was scripted by Doug Jung. Danny Cannon will be directing.
