Dylan Baker Confirms His Return for Spider-Man 4

While Sam Raimi is gearing up for a fourth Peter Parker adventure, one of Peter's teachers has confirmed he will be back as well. UGO recently spoke with actor Dylan Baker who revealed he will be back for Spider-Man 4.

The actor played Dr. Curt Connors and, while it has been speculated that he could turn into The Lizard in this film, Baker didn't know, as he said he had just gotten the call about returning to the film that day.

Spider-Man 4 is set to go before cameras in March 2010 for a May 5, 2011 release date.

    Well, the only way he would be a main arch nemesis would be if he spoke. I can't remember him speaking in the comics, but then again I didn't read many Spidey comics with him in it either so maybe I just don't know. If he spoke clearly but obviously with a graspy voice kinda like Jaffar in Aladdin when he's the giant snake (that's how I picture The Lizard sounding but the voice be a little deeper). Cause he HAS TO TALK. It's essential to the story. And it's even more complicated because he looked up to Dr. Connors kinda like he did with Doc Ock. It's gonna be Doc Ock and Spidey lectures all over again. Telling Dr. Conners he needs to do the right thing etc. Hopefully, it's not a rehash of Spiderman 2, but I have a feeling it will be. Unless they put in another villian, it will be just like SM2. And he has to talk because both Green Goblin and Doc Ock were important people in Peter's life, and they spoke to him throughout the film even when they were fighting him, so he's gotta talk.

    1 and 2 had main arch-nemeses villains Goblin and Ock to carry only them throughout the films, Lizard is not in the same rank as arch-nemesis. So yeah, it will need a second villain, a more nemesis type character.

    I think we are so used to muliple villians in hero films that one villian seems boring haha. It'll be better for the story part of the film though, which was the best part the first two films had going for it. It had space to breathe.

    Halo did you read that from Worstpreviews? I agree with the decision of just having Lizard. Look how well SP1 and SP2 did with just one villain. The story wouldnt end up being rushed. Do I believe the article as of right now? No, I take it with a grain of salt until Raimi confirms it in person.

    An article on the internet has been confirmed to be true that states spiderman 4 will only have the lizard as the main villain with no secondary villains involved. So no Mysterio role for Campbell as for now.

    Sweet, pretty much the confirmation we needed to know that The Lizard is definitely in the final Gary Ross SCRIPT ! Even if not, there may be hints about him becoming his villainous alter ego in the future, but I don't think that will happen.

    About the user Predators in regards to comments made below, What was all that about? Did Predators get his account deleted? I read someone said that its hard to get an account deleted around here, but I know a few that have been deleted off my friends lists before, such as BlizZzard, who was a popular user and JR a few times.

    In response to Predators' comment: I read on IGN that Bay wants to kill Megan Fox's character at the beginning of the movie really gory-like, and replace her with another hottie. Of course, I took this with a grain of salt as soon as I read "gory." The rumor probably only started because of Bay's sarcastic remarks towards Fox in reaction to her statement about Bay focusing more on action and acting.

    But it didn't say anything about being naked, so that part was just your pathetic, tiny brain on auto pilot. Why do so many users say they want to "rape" hot celebrities? It's disgusting.

    Now, back on topic: Lizard WILL be in this movie. It's a sure thing.

    Doc Connors becoming the Lizard is a must. If they change to limit villians, to be able to push for even more Spiderman movies, and keep peope involoved, he is a must. Since some comic lines and even toon versions of Spiderman had Eddie , aka venom, a part of the connor changing, it would be kool that the sonic blast, made venom become good, but still be very aggresive and harsh. He watched Spiderman to see how he can become the good guy, to make spiderman look bad, but helps when Lizard comes to pass. That could help into a branch off for a Venom movie. Couse he is like the Punsiher to a point. Dosn't care if he kills bad guys or not. Just out to stop bad guys. But still has to have a good guy theme.

    hey Predators, idk where you get your information but Michael Bay wouldnt do that to such a popular franchise. Yea it would get the male attention of the World but transformers is a family action film, he wouldnt be able to make her naked. the closest thing he'd beable to do with megan fox in transformers is maybe panties and a braw and thats only IF he's lucky to have the writers and producers agree with it. So no im pretty sure michael bay wouldnt do that
