Dumb and Dumber starred Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as two incredibly stupid friends that travel cross country to return a briefcase full of money.
Production is scheduled to begin after Jeff Daniels wraps The Newsroom in spring of 2013.
Dumb and Dumber To comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels. The film is directed by Peter Farrelly, Bobby Farrelly.

A really bad idea... if this film can touch the comedic genious of the first, it may be ok.. but i am very sceptical... it has got the Farrelly brothers atleast behind it,.. so.. maybe,.. just maybe...

@wanwangboom it was a statement, released by carrey... and "afterall it is implied in the title" refers to the "to" because of the apparent misuse of it. just clearing it up. done now :)
I think with the farrelly bros. track record so far with only their earlier films good... i think this might be a bad idea. daniels and carrey havent done too much in recent years either that harkens to when those two guys did the first film. it will be great to see where they are at now... however again, the farrelly bros. writing is not up to par with D&D, something about mary, me, myself and Irene... etc.

Jim Carrey never said he wouldn't do this sequel only that he couldn't do it right away because he was busy. Hopefully next year he will be available.

@jasonkat "When Harry Met Lloyd" or w/e it was titled, wasn't made by the Farrelly brothers, so I doubt they include it in the "trilogy"

I hated the last1 they made of the much younger version of them

sorry jim carrey gave that away months ago in his response to not doing it...
"I would have thought 'Dumb and Dumber To' was a no-brainer," he said. "After all, it's implied in the title."
that was dated from june of 2012.
