DreamWorks Will Eat, Sleep, Poop
Writing the screenplay are Matt Allen and Caleb Wilson (Four Christmases).
The book is a witty guide from Beverly Hills-based pediatrician Scott W. Cohen. Scribner will be putting out the book March 30.
This is the first book of a planned series. It is a common sense guide for parents with newborn children. It also examines Cohen's experiences as he raised his own child, "which in many ways defied much of what he learned in medical school and ultimately altered how he advises his patients."
The deal came together because one of Cohen's patients was the wife of Chris Fenton, he is "a principal" at the production company H2F. The doctor then pitched the book idea to Fenton, who then turned the writer on to a literary agent and the deal with Scribner was made.
Fenton then brought up the book while having lunch with Parkes/MacDonald executive Anson Avellar. He took the idea to his bosses and the deal was made.
