Dragonball International Trailers Hit!

We have a brand new French and Japanese trailers for the upcoming film Dragonball Evolution, which will hit theaters on April 8. Click below to watch this brand new international trailer for the film, which stars Justin Chatwin, Emmy Rossum, James Marsters and Jamie Chung.



Dragonball Evolution is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys. Justin Chatwin is starring as the hero Goku, while James Marsters will play the villain Piccolo in the sci-fi adventure.

Dragonball Evolution was released April 10th, 2009 and stars Justin Chatwin, Chow Yun-Fat, Emmy Rossum, Jamie Chung, James Marsters, Joon Park, Eriko Tamura, Randall Duk Kim. The film is directed by James Wong.

    Well technically you had
    Dragonball
    Dragonball Z (originally titled 'Dragonball Evolution)
    Dragonball GT
    Then 5 chapters of the manga Dragonball AF

    But i get your point.
    There is actually no reason for this film to be called Dragonball Evolution especially when the basis of this film is based upon Dragonball and not Dragonball Z.

    Maybe Fox was looking for a more catchy title than Dragonball, so they added on the evolution

    Dragonball Evolution is the original name of Dragonball Z.

    That is how that how 'Evolution' side comes into play, but the stupid part is this has nothing to do with Dragonball Z, because no gohan, Vegeta, Trunks etc etc.

    This film is more on the lines of Dragonball

    I reckon the character development and writing in this film is going to be as bad as the film itself

    with so many damn good movies coming out, i doubt this movie will be made suddenly as a flop. the trailers make it seem decent or give hopes to the doubters. the piccolo guy kinda reminds me of Eric Bana in Star Trek for some reason. lol

    F*ck the last two comments I left before. I have to agree with Agent VIS and Vampire2000. There have been alot of times where I skiped out on a movie because it looked bad. Then later I'll watch it and it turns out good and miss the experience of watching it on the big screen. This is one I'll have to see before I judge it. It could be entertaining to watch on the big screen.

    I wouldn't call this a popcorn flick, Vis that would be an understatement to the definition of a popcorn flick.

    Popcorn flick = Transformers 2 & G.I Joe.

    This is a cheese flick (whatever kind of cheese you want it to be).

    It's based from source material (which should never ever have been adapted by Fox)

    It has soap stars and diverts from source material.

    Has weak acting and a weak plot.

    This looks so bad, in a bad way, the story is pretty weak. The acting crap, but the visuals looks excellent.

    It's nice to know they've incorporated more than just the kamehamehameha, i saw some flying, but is there an action sequence in the air?
    But i'm majorily pissed that this has no Vegeta... :(

    The chreography looked good though, cheesy but good.

    People wait for my version...it has Vegeta, Gohan and Trunks in brief the characters we all know and love :)

    Vamp, trailers are made so we can judge the movie before hand, and we'll either change our minds or keep the same opinion when we see the actual movie. You didn't see Pineapple Express when you said that would suck. You hadn't seen Underworld 3 when you thought it would be awesome. At the moment, this movie doesn't look that great. Cheesy with some good effects. At the moment, it looks to provide some good entertainment and nothing more

    I loved the franchise, and I'm telling you, this will never be compared .I can't judge fully, but man, they seriously screwed it up. And good graphics? Who said that!?! The graphics look as cheesy as everything else, and the acting is ridiculous.

    I will think of this as a anime movie, not Dragonball.

    This movie dosent look good at all. Im a fan of the tv series but this is crap. I agree with LEO's comment his yell is awful he sounds like a kid. It just looks like they threw a bunch of crap together. Its a horrible preview.
