A new international trailer has debuted from the upcoming horror tale Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, which will hit theaters nationwide on August 12. Click on the video player below to watch the U.K. trailer for this haunted-house thriller, which was co-written and produced by Guillermo del Toro and stars Guy Pearce, Katie Holmes, and Bailee Madison.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark was released August 26th, 2011 and stars Bruce Gleeson, Edwina Ritchard, Garry McDonald, Bailee Madison, Carolyn Shakespeare-Allen, Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce, Jack Thompson. The film is directed by Troy Nixey.

    was that supposed to be scary? love del torro but just another director to add to the list of wes craven, john carpenter, sam raimi and tobe hooper who has maybe ran out of ideas... and uses the "presents" ... and yes... i know he is not directing it, but i am hoping he actually stops f*cking around and makes "the strain" into a damn movie!

    The only way this film could creep me out is if I was 9. In fact even then it probably wouldn't succeed.
