Donnie Yen and Zhou Xun have boarded the upcoming supernatural thriller Painted Skin. According to Variety, Gordon Chan will direct the project with Tung Wai acting as the action choreographer.

The film revolves around a vampire-like woman that eats the skins and hearts of her lovers. Chen Kun, Zhao Wei, Sun Li and Singapore's Qi Yu Wu have also joined the cast list.

Shooting began this past week in China and will go through February. The film will be released in time for Christmas of 2008.
