Donnie Yen returns for Ip Man 3D
Pegasus Motion Pictures is behind the project, which they will shop around at the Cannes Film Festival. Ip Man and Ip Man 2 director Wilson Yip is also coming back, along with writer Raymond Wong and producer Raymond Wong. Lynn Hung and Yu Bo will co-star, but nothing has been revealed about their roles.
The project is still in the early stages of development, although it is said the producers are aiming for a 2013 release date.
Ip Man, which was released in the U.S. in 2010, is a semi-autobiographical account of Ip Man, the first martial arts master to teach Wing Chun, who was also Bruce Lee's mentor. Ip Man 2 followed the character to Hong Kong, where he was met with resistance by the ruling British government over his Wing Chun teachings.

@mcleve02 -- I'm looking forward to the project, but not only are they making it in 3D, but they're making that their primary focus. It's a movie that shouldn't be in 3D, and I have a feeling that might be the reason they're going to add pointless, in-your-face scenes.

@mieko-siede haha we will see! I have worked with that other school before! XD But it really comes down to whether the kids perform or not... I can hand them the greatest score ever written... if they don't sell, it will never win!

@mieko-siede haha that is my longest review yet! Well, they haven't had any real competition yet... although tomorrow that will change! Going up against a power house of a school! But the judges rave about the music itself so that has me pretty thrilled!

@mcleve02 Sorry man! I've just been really busy lately, kinda cut into my Moviewebbing. lol! I've got tons of editing to do on this book before publishing. The interest is very high, but the story of the first installment is too long. It had to be broken down into two books making my trilogy a six part series. I've been wrapped up rearranging and sorting a lot of material trying to reach my two week deadline.
