"I've talked to the producers about doing something for 'Conan,'" Lundgren said, as he cautioned that casting is still going on and whether there is a role for him at all likely wouldn't be decided until 2010.
"It's too early," he said, explaining that he didn't expect to know more until "probably next year."

When I heard that Lundgren was casted in Stallone's new movie I was excited. I miss seeing him on the big screen. Enough with the straight-to-DVD movies! Now this? Good for him. Hopefully he'll play a bad guy. Some actors are just good at playing those roles, like John Travolta

Raoul Duke
Well said, Amra.
Aside from all that though, I'd say it's high time for Dolph Lundgrens return.

The new Conan movie:
1. Stop the current production.
2. Get a Robert E. Howard expert in the same room with the writers. Have them read the books and instruct them that the Conan stories will serve as the building blocks for the movie, and nothing else.
3. Use this film as a chance to reinvent the pop cultural idea of Conan.
Look at Casino Royale. Batman Begins. Pirates of the Carribean. All of these films took dead characters, dead franchises, and dead genres and reinvigorated them by not playing it safe. Even fans of Conan the Barbarian don't want a rehash of that. We are twenty years older now, and we need something more sophisticated. Bryan Singer learned that the hard way with Superman Returns. This can NOT be a nostalgia project.

The Kwisatz Haderach
If they stick to Robert e. Howard's stories this could be awesome, but still the question is who could pull off a quality Conan
