Do You Want the Spider-Man 4 VIP Treatment from Sony and Stand Up to Cancer?

While production on Spider-Man 4 hasn't officially been announced to the public yet, it may be closer than we think. Right now, the organization Stand Up to Cancer, in conjunction with Sony Pictures, is offering an amazing Spider-Man 4 package to the highest bidder. You can check out the auction on Ebay, which ends September 5th at 7:00 pm PDT.

Sony wants to get Spider-Man 4 into theaters by 2011, but at this time nothing is set in place. It's not clear if Sam Raimi will be returning, or if the cast will stay intact. But that hasn't stopped Stand Up to Cancer from offering this great package. The highest bidder will get:

A visit to the set of Spider-Man 4 (one shooting day). A meet and greet with the cast (1 hour). A walk-on/ extra role in the film for the auction winner only. A Trip to the New York premiere. Designer outfits to wear to the premiere for winner and guest from top designers. And winner and guest will walk the premiere's red carpet.

So, does this mean that Sony will be making an official announcement about Spider-Man 4 sometime in the very near future? Stay tuned as we will have any updates that may come along.

Spider-man 4 is in development .

I dont think they need another 3 films, like marc said (maybe some others did too many pages) one great film to redeem the series, i personally hold Raimi accountable for how the 3rd film came out. I think if it goes on for another 3 films itll get crowded with trying to cram in villians and extra story lines, i think a little cameo from Dare Devil would be cool too.I think Lizards a good obvious choice for side villian and Mysterio for the main. IF they only did one more movie.

I never really thought abuot it, but crossovers in Spiderman would be cool. I think it would be cool to see Shocker in the next one, with an appearanc by Daredevil.

Crossover's i think personally could be a good idea for a set of character's that live nyc i dont think it's that difficult:

    Spider-man 4:
    Electro
    shocker

    Spider-man 5:
    Kingpin
    Carnage
    lizard

i dunno if we need 6. or 5 for that matter. but we are majorily agreed that a 4th installment is necessary to redeem the franchise and pull it outta the mud. i dont think anyone was happy with the 3rd and what it left us with

To do crossovers how about Morbius, that way we could get a couple scenes of Blade? Maybe get Hammerhead some screen time like Sal Maroni in The Dark Knight.

    Spider-Man 4:
    The Kingpin
    Hammerhead
    The Liard
    Kraven the Hunter

    Spider-Man 5:
    Morbius
    Blade
    Felicia Hardy
    Cletus Kasady

    Spider-Man 6:
    Carnage
    Electro
    Herman Schultz

Well its easy to crossover, its NYC, they're bound to meet. The problem with Gwen is that she was Peter's first love, and the original Green Goblin killed her, that's where Spider-Man (2002) got that scene when he throws MJ off the bridge. Vulture? I'm not sure if he is strong enough to carry his own film. They can't do Sinister Six because they killed Doc Ock.
I still want to see Rhino, Lizard, and Shocker. I do like your idea on setting up Cletus Kasady and Felicia Hardy for a fifth installment.

Cameos are a good idea, Daredevil, Punisher, and Human Torch always crossed over into Spidey's world. However, as I don't think that will be happening, the villains I would like to see are The Lizard, and Mysterio. Introduce Felicia Hardy, but save Black Cat and Carnage for Spidey 5...set their characters up in Spider-Man 4. And get rid of Gwen Stacy. My pitch:

    4:
    -The Lizard
    -Mysterio
    -Felicia Hardy

    5:
    -Black Cat
    -Carnage
    -Shocker

    6:
    -Morlun
    -The Vulture

a cameo from DD would be sweet. we havent seen any crossovers yet in spideys universe. that is something i would want to happen. would be way cool

why do movies have to be in chronological order??? do like the comics.. have different stories have different eras.. Is it that hard??? break off and do a ONE SHOT.. it's the only way you can save spidey.. i wouldn't reboot.. not after 3 films.. break up the story..

  19. Spoogology

I agree marcusx. Thats why Spider-Man 3 is most criticized compared to 1 and 2. Villains I would like to see would be Rhino, Shocker, and The Lizard, and maybe a cameo by Daredevil???

    3 years agoby @spoog2000Flag

  20. Marcusx

lizard, carnage, shocker(vin diesel) altho it would be a small role, nothing to take up too much time on the screen. too many villains ruin a movie

as we all noticed in 3

The Lizard, would be cool. Its just with the screen time from Dylan Baker in Spider-Man 2 and 3 its not enough to make him a villain in the fourth

I'm saying man, your casting would fit along the lines of "SPIDER-MAN", not "SPIDER-MAN 4". The story is a sequel-type but casting doesn't fit.

Well I'm not sure but it seems that none of you have actual information and you're just stating what you'd want to see in Spidey 4. Which is cool, don't get me wrong, but on the other hand, there does exist some degree of actual info on this future installment, if you know where to look.

Sam Raimi says that if he directed "4," he would play on the established character of Dr. Curt Connors and definitely include The Lizard in the next movie. Saying Raimi will leave the franchise is also like saying Nolan will leave Batman. So there we have it. The Lizard in Spider-Man 4.

Also being addressed is James Vanderbilt's script treatment. Word is from Sony that he wrote a draft that would span the length of TWO films, given that 4 and 5 would need to be filmed back-to-back. Word also from Sony is that they have scaled the villain count down to TWO VILLAINS. They are aiming for May of 2011 as the release date.

This is all the latest info. We should know by at least sometime in September or by October where Raimi wants to go with Vanderbilt's script. Even if he opts NOT to direct, he would still stay on as producer. Early speculation was that he might also stay on as co-writer, but he gave that up when he relinquished creative control once the deal with screenwriter David Koepp fell through, and Vanderbilt took over.

At this time, THIS IS set in place.
