Disney announced today that its upcoming animated feature Bolt will be released in 3-D. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film was originally entitled American Dog

Disney's Chuck Viane stated, "We are going to have fun family 3-D at Thanksgiving. We absolutely believe in the whole concept of 3-D and the enhancement that it brings in the ability to separate us from any of the other mediums."

The film stars the voice talents of John Travolta and Susie Essman. The plot revolves around Bolt (Travolta), a TV star dog that accidentally gets shipped to New York. He must make a cross-country trek back to his home in Hollywood.

Bolt will open November 26th, 2008.

Bolt was released November 21st, 2008 and stars John Travolta, Miley Cyrus, Susie Essman, Mark Walton, Malcolm McDowell, James Lipton, Greg Germann, Diedrich Bader. The film is directed by Byron Howard, Chris Williams.
