Disney Will Not Release Path to 9/11 on DVD
Borelli also accused Iger of political motivations in withholding this mini-series - which revolved around President Bill Clinton's mishandling of terror threats which may have eventually led to the 9/11 attack - since Iger has been an avid supporter of Senator Hillary Clinton's bid for the White House.
Iger claimed that his decision on this DVD was based on financial aspects, not political, but some beg to differ. Path to 9/11 screenwriter Cyrus Nowrasteh told reporters that an ABC Studios exec said to him that, "If Hillary weren't running for president, this wouldn't be a problem."
The 2006 mini-series was so controversial that several prominent Democrats asked Disney not to air the program. It aired, after some last-minute edits, commercial-free.
