Disney Delays Narnia's Prince Caspian To Summer 2008

Walt Disney Pictures has announced the follow-up to Andrew Adamson's blockbuster "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" has changed its original release date of Christmas 2007 to the Summer of 2008.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney rescheduled the sequel to The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe just hours after Columbia Pictures made their announcement of releasing their fantasy fable, The Water Horse on December 8, 2007 - one week before the scheduled release of Prince Caspian. Both films are coincidentally being produced by Walden Media.

Production is going on as planned for the two films; Prince Caspian will begin in October of this year, The Water Horse starts production later this month.

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep was released December 25th, 2007 and stars Bruce Allpress, Geraldine Brophy, Eddie Campbell, Ben Chaplin, Peter Corrigan, Brian Cox, Carl Dixon, Alex Etel. The film is directed by Jay Russell.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was released May 16th, 2008 and stars Ben Barnes, Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Sergio Castellitto, Peter Dinklage, Warwick Davis. The film is directed by Andrew Adamson.
