Jay Chandrasekhar will direct Yogi Bear 2 for Warner Bros.
We reported last May that Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia (Yogi Bear, Tooth Fairy) signed on to write the sequel. Donald De Line and Karen Rosenfelt are producing.
Yogi Bear, released in 2010, took in over $200 million worldwide, with Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake voicing Yogi and Boo-Boo. Anna Faris, Tom Cavanagh, and T.J. Miller starred in live-action roles. It is not known yet if any of these cast members will return for the sequel.
Jay Chandrasekhar is best known for his work as a member of the Broken Lizard troupe, directing, writing, and starring in comedies such as Super Troopers and Beerfest.
Yogi Bear 2 comes to theaters in 2013. The film is directed by Jay Chandrasekhar.

i don't understand this cgi craze...it doesn't make the characters look more realistic and it bothers all the people who loved the original cartoon...why not make it look like "who framed roger rabbit?"
