Fun With Dick and Jane: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Director Dean Parisot is set to take the helm of Columbia Pictures' remake of Fun With Dick and Jane, produced by Brian Grazer and starring Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz.

The "Dick and Jane" remake is written by Judd Apatow and Nicolas Stoller. The original 1977 comedy starred George Segal and Jane Fonda as an economically distressed married couple who resort to a life of crime. Barry Sonnenfeld had been attached to direct, but he exited the project in late July. With Parisot now on board, an early summer production start is planned.

Parisot, who has directed episodes of several successful television series in recent years, including "Monk" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm," last directed for the big screen the 1999 DreamWorks comedy Galaxy Quest.
