
The third installment comes to theaters August 3rd
Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules director David Bowers is returning to direct the third installment, which is based on the best-selling novel series by Jeff Kinney.
The film centers on "wimpy kid" Greg Heffley, who hatches a plan to pretend he has a job at a ritzy country club. But the plan fails and he suffers the dog days of summer vacation, which include mishaps at a public pool and a camping trip that goes wrong.
Maya Forbes and Wallace Wolodarsky are set to write Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days.
Zachary Gordon, Robert Capron, Devon Bostick, Rachael Harris, and Steve Zahn will return for the third project.
Production began in Vancouver last week.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days comes to theaters August 3rd, 2012 and stars Rachael Harris, Steve Zahn, Devon Bostick, Peyton List, Zachary Gordon, Melissa Roxburgh, Robert Capron, Karan Brar. The film is directed by David Bowers.

I honestly don't mind these movies. It'll get annoying having one every year if they keep this up, but they're still great family films.
