New details on Transformers 3's Chicago shoot
"OEMC Executive Director Jose Santiago said the closures on LaSalle Street (8 p.m. July 9 to 5 a.m. July 12), the Michigan Avenue bridge (8 p.m. July 16 to 5 a.m. July 19) and Upper Wacker Drive (9 p.m. July 18 to 5 a.m. July 22) will have the most impact on traffic. He added that most of the movie's filming in Chicago will take place during daylight.
"It's an ambitious production ... but we and the producers are committed to mitigating the disruptions and addressing community concerns," said Chicago Film Office Director Rich Moskal.
"It's an ambitious production ... but we and the producers are committed to mitigating the disruptions and addressing community concerns," said Chicago Film Office Director Rich Moskal.
The article also reveals that certain sequences in the film may even be able to top scenes filmed in Chicago for another huge blockbuster, the 2008 sequel The Dark Knight.
Moskal said recently a few "scenes they're planning could match if not exceed the spectacular stuff The Dark Knight production pulled off."
Yes, he's talking about the 2008 Batman film that featured an 18-wheeler getting flipped over on LaSalle Street and a massive explosion that leveled the old Brach's Candy building on the West Side.
"Flying debris, flipping cars, stunts, that's the kind of stuff you'll probably be seeing here," added Moskal.

The site also revealed that the film will also, "shoot in Milwaukee in July, Detroit in August and Washington D.C. in mid-September."

a note to a;; of those idiots below who DIDNT ACTUALLY READ THE ARTICLE. michael bay did not say anything about or compare his movie to TDK. it was that moskal guy they were talking to in the interview who said all those things. he is the chicago film office director.
so maybe you people should actually try to READ the article before you come on spewing hate about 'what bay said'. when in actuality bay didnt say anything and you all look like morons.

@Cripple lol yeah he sure did have the nerve of comparing computerized robots blended with stale acting to a...how can i put it...greatly directed, oscar winning/nominated film with a well thought out story and one of the highest-grossing movie of all time...just shows how full of himself bay is...
oh and as for the statement "Flying debris, flipping cars, stunts, that's the kind of stuff you'll probably be seeing here"...no fricking kidding, what a surprise well see this in a michael bay film, he has that every one of his movies, he couldve done the smurf movie and still had all this included :]

I am not going to hav anything bad to say about transformers, cause to me they all seem a fair movie to watch, even the the idea of transforming animation still have me in eyecandy bliss. They have stated that the last transformers where bad decisions that have been made.. so am still anxious to see what will happen with 3. i hope it does good, and have u sons of biches eat shyt and die

Did Michael Bay honestly just compare his sh*t to Christopher Nolan? I think I just vomited in my mouth.
