Marcus Nispel, the man behind the The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake from 2003, is jumping behind the lens of this new thriller. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift are responsible for the screenplay.
The film is set to open on February 13th, 2009.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning was released October 6th, 2006 and stars Jordana Brewster, Taylor Handley, Diora Baird, Matthew Bomer, R. Lee Ermey, Andrew Bryniarski, Lee Tergesen, Terrence Evans. The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman.

marcus nispel doesnt kno what he is doing. just cuz its macaab doesnt mean that its good. i mean what is a lot of blood in a movie? its cool the first few times but after a while it gets old. we dont need a retelling of the beginning. no one gives a sh*t. how could they think this is a good idea? i mean i kno i will see it regardless but its the same stuff over and over again. and TCM sucked and so did Rob zombies halloween was less than trash. i hate zombie and all he stands for. hes a f*ckhead this is gonna be sh*t like all the rest b4 it...im angry sorry.

In the "ORGINIAL" film...Mrs. Voorhees reveals herself to be the mother of the boy who drowned in the lake in 1957. Talking mostly to herself (See the film), she blames her son Jason's drowning on the fact that two counselors were having sex and were unaware of Jason's struggling in the lake. Mrs. Voorhees is the killer becuase she blames the camp counslers for not paying attention.....see we don't need an origin story!!
