Dennis Quaid, Julianne Moore and Michael Sheen Share Special Relationship

Dennis Quaid has been set to play President Clinton, Julianne Moore to play Hillary Clinton and Frost/Nixon's Michael Sheen to portray British Prime Minister Tony Blair in The Special Relationship, an HBO movie penned by Frost/Nixon writer Peter Morgan.

According to Variety, Morgan will make his directorial debut with the film, about the political relationship between Bill Clinton and Blair.

Sheen has portrayed the former British Prime Minister Blair twice, in two Stephen Frears movies penned by Morgan: 2003's The Deal and 2006's The Queen.

Kathleen Kennedy, Morgan and Andy Harries are exec producing The Special Relationship, which the BBC is in talks to co-produce with HBO.

No production date has been set.

The Special Relationship was released in 2011 and stars Michael Sheen, Dennis Quaid, Helen McCrory, Hope Davis, Adam Godley, Chris Wilson, Lara Pulver, Robert Roman Ratajczak. The film is directed by Richard Loncraine.
