According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dennis Hopper, Scott Caan, Tricia Helfer and J.K. Simmons have joined the cast of A Beginner's Guide to Endings. The film will be written and directed by newcomer Jonathan Sobol.

The movie looks at three brothers who find out they only have a few days left before they die. So, they try to right the wrongs in their lives.

Hopper and Simmons will play the brothers' father and uncle. Caan is going to be one of the brothers. Helfer is Caan's girlfriend, a woman with a lot of baggage in her past.

The film is due to start shooting in October in Niagara Falls, N.Y.
