'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' Photo Reveals an Armed Ape Upholding the 2nd Amendment

Those damn dirty apes will supposedly be brandishing firearms in this highly-anticipated sequel to 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes'.
We're still a few years away from seeing the Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, slated for release in the summer of 2014. Earlier today, an intriguing photo appeared on the original movie's Facebook page that implies these apes will be carrying guns in the sequel. We reported last month that Let Me In director Matt Reeves signed on to take over for Rupert Wyatt, who backed out due to scheduling issues. A few weeks later, we also reported that Mark Bomback signed on to rewrite the original script by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes comes to theaters July 11th, 2014 and stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Judy Greer, Toby Kebbell, Enrique Murciano. The film is directed by Matt Reeves.

    Rewrites already? We've all heard of film makers who've ventured down that path. Doesn't sound good. The pic doesn't only imply that they will carry the guns, it also clearly shows that they will be firing them.
