Fox's Davis Entertainment has bought up and coming screen-writer Stephen Hauser's spec script called The Mistaken for upwards of $500,000.

The Hollywood Reporter says the story is in the vein of The Fugitive and The Bourne Identity, describing it as focusing on an American man who becomes a terrorism suspect while traveling with his family.

Fox used part of its discretionary fund to buy the screenplay; 20th Century Fox will have first dibs for the project.
