House star Hugh Laurie will be making his directorial debut in an upcoming episode, and it seems he'll have some Oscar-nominated company to direct. Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello Files is reporting that David Strathairn will guest star in House's 17th episode this season, which will be directed by Laurie.

"He's a patient who has scenes with Dr. House," said executive producer Katie Jacobs. "I'm excited to [watch] the two of them in a room together."

It was said that Laurie "hand-picked" Strathairn to guest-star, which he accepted, and it was said that this episode will have a different format than the normal House format.
