David Nutter to Direct Eastwick Pilot
According to Variety, Nutter also recently inked a three-year renewal of his overall production pact with Warner Bros. TV. Most recently, Nutter helmed the pilot of WBTV and CBS' frosh sensation The Mentalist.
Given his batting average, Nutter has no shortage of pilot offers at this time of year. Eastwick, about three women who discover they have supernatural powers after a mysterious man arrives in their small town, appealed to him because of the strength of the concept that scribe-exec producer Maggie Friedman has developed for the series. (The 1987 film was based on the novel by John Updike.)
