David Milch set to adapt Heavy Rain
Deadwood creator David Milch has signed on to adapt the noir-style videogame Heavy Rain, for Unique Features which has a first-look deal with Warner Bros., according to Variety.

Heavy Rain is based on the Sony Computer Entertainment game released last year, and spans four days of mystery and centers on the hunt for a murderer known as the Origami Killer. Four characters, each following his own leads and with his own motives, take part in a desperate attempt to prevent the killer from claiming a new victim, with each character's decisions affecting the plans of the other three.

No production date has been set.

Heavy Rain is in development .

    I kinda don't get making these types of games into movies. Both Uncharted and Heavy Rain are in effect 'playable movies'. There is absolutely no need to do this. I mean like Supes and Jaffoi said, if you've played it you've seen it.

    So it's like Metal Gear Solid, then huh? That's another one I see zero point in ever adapting to the silver screen. If you play through the game, it's a movie by itself. And a damn good one.
