David Logan Rewriting DreamWorks Hammer Down

According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Logan has been hired to rewrite DreamWorks' Hammer Down. Phil Joanou is directing the hip-hop comedy, which Barry Josephson and Michael Rotenberg are producing.

The story centers on a disgraced NASCAR driver who becomes a wheel man in a heist with the hope of getting himself back on track. DreamWorks initally picked up the script in 2001 as a spec by Ric Roman Waugh and Tag Mendillo. Andrew Marlowe did a rewrite on it.
