David Koepp to Write and Direct Billionaire's Vinegar

According to Variety, writer/director David Koepp has attached himself to some projects from Columbia Pictures.

For starters he will helm Billionaire's Vinegar. The film is based on a book from Benjamin Wallace. It looks back at a scandal that happened when a cache of wine that was auctioned apparently came from the stocks of Thomas Jefferson.

Koepp will also write the screenplay with John Kamps.

After this, Koepp will tackle the Charles McCarry novel Shelley's Heart. The film follows two friends who become enemies as they vie for the presidential election.

It should be interesting to watch Koepp get away from sci-fi and horror for a while. It'll give him some time to regroup in time for the third Batman film in a few years.

What crap. The story sounds crap. Koepp hasn't written anything good since the first Spider man, and he's a terrible director.
