David Hackl to Direct Saw 5 and Saw 6?

Saw IV has not been released, yet we receive news concerning the two films that would follow this year's release. Bloody-Disgusting has learned through multiple sources that David Hackl, the production designer on Saw II, Saw III and Saw IV has been chosen by Lionsgate to direct Saw V and Saw VI.

Hackle was once considered to direct Saw IV which arrives in theatres on October 26th, 2007.

The success of Saw IV will determine the fate of the following two sequels, and as expected, there are no plotlines known for these films.

Saw IV was released October 26th, 2007 and stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Scott Patterson, Betsy Russell, Lyriq Bent, Athena Karkanis, Justin Louis, Simon Reynolds. The film is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman.

    sawava, If you payed close enough attention (or listened to the commentary) the reason he is in the room again is because the autopsy scene in saw 4 was the end of the movie played at the beginging. saw 3 and saw 4 take place at the EXACT same time.

    'the joker' ur a twat. remember in saw 3 how jigsaw was coating that tape in wax? well he swallowed it and they found it in his stomach when they were doing an autopsy on him. He doesnt need to be alive to continue his work as im sure u will understand when u actually see saw 4.

    If you watched all of the Saw's in great detail you would know that the son of the detective is still alive. If you look at the period of time that SAW had him in a "safe," then you can only imagine what he could have done with him! The movies are ALL great and I am counting down the days until 4 comes out. Look past the people involved and think of the real reason people are hooked on these movies. The idea the ONE PERSON could have sucha twisted mind to kill these people and make them fac their own life. You can take a lot more from it then just SAW being dead... Have you ever considered looking at your own life. These movies are just a twisted way to really get people to examine themselves. Are you in a marriage or dwelling over something of the past??? Your today determines your tomorrow. This movie is SOOOOOO much more than which character is not living... give the producers a chance.. apparently they have been doing something right to keep the story going for this long! STAY POSITIVE!!!!! Less than a month to go :)

    I think they need to know when to stop. Jigsaw is dead and we didnt see any other followers of his work. How can they possibly go passed 4? Im sure a man could honestly survive getting his throat cut by an electric saw...pssh yeah right!

    This movie is the best movie from the beginning of the mankind! Every sequel is better then the last one (in all the other movies is the opposite - sequel = sh*t !!!) So, I believe that every sequel of SAW would be better then the last one, like SAW 2 and SAW 3! You'll see!

    I know most people are inclined to think that the next few movies will be terrible based on the fact that after Saw 3 they essentially wrote themselves out of the plot line by killing the two main characters, I don't buy it. Who goes to see those movies for a good story? The franchise wasn't built on amazing writing (if it was Lion's Gate wouldn't be involved), it was built on imagery and shock value; two things that don't need a descent story to be displayed. So as long as they kill people in new and more intriguing ways I say it will do just fine.

    The two next movies will probably be the worsest, since the story is almost used up, everyone that has seen the movies understand mostly of it's contain. So why making more with the same basic story. After my own personal meanings, the next two will probably on a way ruin mostly of the franschise. I would like them if they are true to it's contain and the point of flowering (That would say the first one, and maybe the second one).

    NO! I can't take anymore of these damn movies! The 1st Saw film was good. Then they got carried away. I f*cking hate it when studios keep making sequals just for a little extra money in there pockets. They should make a sequal for quality, not quantity!
