David Goyer leaves FlashFoward for the next Batman
Goyer also co-wrote Batman Begins, the story for The Dark Knight and is currently working on the third Batman film with Jonah Nolan. While he didn't site that film by name, he did hint that "feature projects" were the reason he was leaving FlashForward:
"As my feature projects have started ramping up again, I felt I was being pulled in too many directions," Goyer said in a statement. "I'm proud of the show and excited about the relaunch. It's in great hands."
Goyer will still be involved with the show as the 23-episode order is completed.
However, there is no word yet on who is going to take over the show. It started strong when it came out in the fall, then its return was delayed until March 18 so it could be reworked.
The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

A sacrifice that had to be made. Goyer is an essential part of the Batman writing team. I'm glad he's back onboard.

Mmm_mmm is right about Supermax right down to the detail with Green Arrow. I didn't watch FlashForward, and don't plan on starting. I'm interested in knowing every possible bit of news on the next Batman film, even if its circ*mstantial. Although I don't believe it would be ready any time before the summer of 2012(they're going to take their time on this-- No Spider-Man 3 type mistakes), anything to facilitate the hype is welcomed.

CHHHHHHAAAAADDDDDDDDD (Vital) Supermax is DC. Another comic book deal. It's about a prison for supervillians. Supermax = Super Maximum (Prison). I think there is a confirmed Green Arrow in it. Not sure.

Even though this is speculation, you guys are missing the big picture here. Keywords are "feature projects". Does that mean he is going to be working on TDK sequel? Chances are pretty dang good. I mean, what else is there to say he's working on? If he left FlashForward to do other projects, that were obviously more important to him for some reason, what do you think they'd be? There's only a few possibilities here. Of course there is TDK sequel (which is probably the most important to him cause of the success he had from it and I'm sure he's proud of it like no other), then there was talk of Ghost Rider sequel or remake or whatever the hell it is, and Goyer was producer for it, would he be one again for this new version of Ghost Rider 2 that was recently announced? Possible.
The other big one was that he is writing for X-Men Origins: Magneto (if it ever sees the light of day).
I don't know how accurate IMDB is, but it says he's working on 8 films. Unforgettable, The Invisible Man, Scanners, Y the Last Man, Baltimore or The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire Vampire, Here There Be Dragons, Ghost Rider 2, and Super Max. I don't know what most of these are, but there is no mention of any Batman sequel unless they are planning on keeping it top secret til Nolan joins back up with the gang, who knows.
I doubt they'd make another Blade film, which he wrote on all three Blade films. And I doubt they'd make a Jumper or Dark City sequel lol.
So you have all these random projects, with 3 of them being huge (TDK, Ghost Rider 2, and Magneto) which coincidentally are all comic book characters lol. The Invisible Man might be cool, but I doubt it will have bigger hype than any of the 3 mentioned above. Plus, the 3 mentioned above would have big checks attached to them, which is pretty much a sure thing, especially since WB is good at making sure things turn out right, they will have to pay Nolan brothers, and Goyer, a lot of dough to make a 3rd if they haven't already paid them to do so. Any person that likes money, whatever it may be used for, would accept a deal. I mean, it's just human nature. For the right price, you can buy anybody. Sad, but true. Not saying Nolan would do that cause I don't personally know the guy, but I'm sure he'd say yes if they were like "you never have to work again after this"... hmm "ok" lol.

From a good source of mine who knew people who knew some people. They're trying out names like "The Dark knight: Returns" since the awesome film "The Dark knight" ended with Bruce Wayne giving up the duty as the caped crusader.

"While he didn't site that film (Batman 3) by name, he did hint that "feature projects" were the reason he was leaving FlashForward"
Soooo, what makes you think he is writing Batman 3 if he never mentioned that project by name? Sounds like kind of a stretch to me. He has written for many other feature films as well, so there is nothing in this article that gives any good evidence to support that claim.

Hello, the correct spelling for the famous killing clown is Joker and he's far more than a penis. Hell he'll rip yours off and and smear you with red goo then post a hand written sign that says.
he came he went, ha ha ha

Yes mosorwvlad, I too enjoyed "The Jocker". No Batman villain is more infamous than the penis prince of crime The Jocker.

Why would someone named "Jonathan" go by "Jonah?" I respect his writing ability, but that's just stupid. ;P

That he means "Batman" when he says "feature projects" is a pretty big assumption. But I hope it's true.

Flashforward started with a bang but nothing really happened after the first couple of episodes. It started to depend too much on cliched characters too. I hope that when it comes back it will have some actual purpose to the plot and less cliches.

with illuminati. to keep with his quote - i'm bummed he's leaving flashforward. that show is simply one of the best new series to be launched in a while. i hope it doesn't all fall apart with his departure.
