Dave Chappelle's Family History of the World: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dave Chappelle, one of the hottest stars on cable with his "Chappelle's Show" on Comedy Central, is in negotiations with New Line Cinema to do a comedy film.

Tentatively titled Dave Chappelle's Family History of the World, the project would see Chappelle play his family members at various points in history as he chronicles his family's fictitious involvement in momentous events, from biblical times to the present day, while also riffing on the black experience. Chappelle also would write the script.

The project originated in-house at New Line, where executive Jeff Katz pitched the idea to Chappelle's camp.
