According to Variety Darren Lynn Bousman will write and also direct Abattoir for Radical Pictures.

Currently, the publishing entity of Radical is turning Abattoir into a graphic novel. The idea is an original one from Bousman and his writing-producing partner Michael Peterson. The plan is showcase the artwork at Comic-Con.

In the film, a real estate agent has the task of cleaning up a slaughter that took place in a mansion. An old man appears on the scene and takes the agent "into a web of shadows, murders and massacres."

"After taking over the Saw franchise for so long and then directing Mother's Day based on the original film, this is exciting because it is an original concept and we feel it could be a huge franchise," Bousman says.
