Michelle Pfeiffer is in talks to join Tim Burton's Dark Shadows
Michelle Pfeiffer is in negotiations to play Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, the owner of the Collinwood estate where the story takes place. Helena Bonham Carter is circling the role of Dr. Julia Hoffman, who specializes in rare blood disorders and moves into the estate. Hoffman is originally perceived as a threat to the vampire Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp), although she becomes his ally, as Barnabas believes she can cure his blood lust.
Helena Bonham Carter hasn't officially entered into talks for the role yet.
Both actresses have worked with Tim Burton before, although Michelle Pfeiffer hasn't done so since 1992's Batman Returns where she played the Catwoman. Helena Bonham Carter portrayed the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland for the director last year.
Tim Burton will direct from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith and John August. No production schedule was released for Dark Shadows.
Dark Shadows was released May 11th, 2012 and stars Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Chloe Moretz. The film is directed by Tim Burton.

I was just watching an old 80's movie called Ladyhawk in which Michelle Pfeiffer looked amazing gorgeous. I h loved that movie as a kid and i still do. Anything she is in is something i want to see. I think that she will be brilliant in this film. great actress!

As much as I love Helena, it's about time she NOT be involved in one of Burton's movies. As for Michelle, I'm always up for seeing her in any film!

Helena Bonham Carter huh....... I love her but DAMNIT!! she does the Kings Speech (and she's great) but then runs right back to her husband for more weird sh*t with who else Johnny Depp. Don't get me wrong i kinda liked the t.v. show when i caught the re-runs but i love to see her in a Spielberg or a Nolan film too. Just my 2 cents worth
