Dark Shadows Photo with Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins

You don't have to wait until May to be completely creeped out by Johnny Depp's latest character role as vampire Barnabas Collins in director Tim Burton's adaptation of the cult soap opera Dark Shadows. A new photo from this Warner Bros. comedy horror genre smash-up has arrived, giving us a clear view of Barnabas and his dated wardrobe as he slinks through Collinwood Manor. Feast your eyes below.

Dark Shadows was released May 11th, 2012 and stars Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Chloe Moretz. The film is directed by Tim Burton.

    yeah, that would be good. Maybe there will be a trailer released for it some time soon, considering that most of the other movie coming out in May 2012, already have a trailer released for them.

    @XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Not hyped for all the movies, but I think over all, they hold a decent crop of films that could be good to great. GI:Joe2, new cast and new director, so could be a vast improvement. Men in Black 3, will surprise you. Hobbit will not be as good as LOTR's, but will be great. LOTR's has originality of over all look and feel on its side, beyond the story. But as for the rest of the movies that are not already franchise based, they could be good. Most I want to see a trailer myself, but those in that list, if are as good as I would like them to be at-least, then I could consider this year a very good movie year.

    @gandoff2169 -- "****John Carter of Mars(Which is going to suck), The Raven(I'm interested in this one), Wrath of the Titians(A good popcorn flick, maybe - but nothing more), American Reunion(It may have a few funny scenes, but it's going to be completely forgettable), Avengers(I'm not too sure about this one), Men in Black 3(Oh, really? This one is going to fail, big time), Prometheus(Now this is what I am slightly interested in seeing, but I really don't think it'll be nearly as good as everyone is making it out to be. Don't let the great editing in the trailers and seemingly good casting fool you!), GI:Joe2(I disliked the first one, and I'll more than likely dislike this, Amazing Spiderman(This one should be all right), The Dark Knight Rises(This one should be great, but I don't think I'll like it much), Bourne Legacy(Oh, I'm definitely interested in this one, but not by much), Expendables 2(Guilty pleasure, maybe? Who knows), Dredd(I haven't seen a trailer or done much research on this one, so I have no clue), Red Dawn(Have you seen the cast? I don't think this one will pan out well), Skyfall(Good point), Twilight Dawn 2(How about, no?), The Hobbit part 1(You know, this will most likely not be nearly as good as The Lord Of The Rings, right?), and World War Z(Very true, but we still need a trailer to see if everything is as it's suppose to be)."

    That was a brief two-cents for each title you brought up, and it looks like you're fairly excited about what this year has to offer - I wish I did, too.

    @XxNickTheFilmCriticXx How can you say there is a bad crop of movies for this year? John Carter of Mars, The Raven, Wrath of the Titians, American Reunion, Avengers, Men in Black 3, Prometheus, GI:Joe2, Amazing Spiderman, The Dark Knight Rises, Bourne Legacy, Expendables 2, Dredd, Red Dawn, Skyfall, Twilight Dawn 2, The Hobbit part 1, and World War Z. Just to name the more blockbuster films set to come out.

    I not watched the original Dark Shadows, but there was a 90's version. It is on netflix, and I "tried" to watch it. But the writing was so bad in the first ep, I turned it off. But I believe this will be way better then the show. Depp means a great film. Always. Even those better wait for DVD. He makes the movie.

    Bad picture, but I think this will definitely be one of the best movies of the year. Which is not saying a lot, considering what will be coming out this year. Man, how in the hell are we going to construct a top-ten list with the releases we're getting this year?
