Daredevil gets a reboot
The site reports that David Scarpa (The Day the Earth Stood Still) has been hired to write the new script and Peter Chernin will produce. It was said that one of the reasons for the remake is so Fox can retain the rights to the property, otherwise it will revert back to Marvel, which was purchased by Disney last year.
We'll be sure to keep you posted on any new developments surrounding this new remake as soon as more information comes in.
Daredevil was released February 14th, 2003 and stars Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Colin Farrell, Michael Clarke Duncan, Jon Favreau, Scott Terra, Ellen Pompeo, Joe Pantoliano. The film is directed by Mark Steven Johnson.

Thanks. Pretty much the most sarcastic fake convo I have made up haha, but it does seem that Fox employees talk that way with all the greenlighting they do before things are actually good to go.

Lol this is such bullsh*t.
Fox coworker- "Hey boss, Disney is trying to get DareDevil back".
Fox Boss- "Dare-who?"
Fox coworker-"Ya know, DareDevil, he's a hero in red, kinda like a devil."
Fox Boss- "We still have that?"
Fox Coworker- "Apparantly so. If we don't randomly make a movie at the last minute, we will lose him to Disney."
Fox Boss- "Well f*ck me let's reboot this thing and get it going. Who do we have involved?"
Fox Coworker- "Umm so far, all we have is Carrot Top."
Fox Boss- "Genius casting, here's your promotion"
Fox Coworker- "k"
Fox Boss- "Do we have a script?"
Fox Coworker- "No."
Fox Boss- "So we have Carrot Top and no script, and that's it?"
Fox Coworker- "Yep."
Fox Boss- "That's good enough for me let's get this made."
Fox Coworker- "But sir, we don't have a budget either."
Fox Boss- "How much money is in your pockets?"
Fox Coworker- "Why?"
Fox Boss- "Cause we are starting there. I have 24 bucks somewhere... anyway goto Walmart and get one of those Devil halloween costumes and we will mess with it til it looks like Spiderman."
Fox Coworker- "Spiderman?"
Fox Boss- "Oh damn, who we making a movie of again?"
Fox Coworker- "DareDevil sir."
Fox Boss- "Damnit Steve, no one is gonna notice anyway, I mean, we changed appearances and story in Wolverine Origins and looked how it turned out, a masterpiece, a fan favorite. Just ask anyone on any movie forum, they will confirm this."
Lol. Sorry, I got carried away, couldn't help myself.

Dave Fincher would be a great choice for this. I mean, no one else comes directly to mind, at least no one accessible.

About damn time. Though the first was better than I had expected. Dude totally agree with Guy Pearce, that would be badass.

I agree Mrman3810,, Ben was good in it. They script was not that well put together, concidering King Pin goes done in movie one, and so does Bullseye. Cramed to many DD charactes in one more. But reboot is ok. Here is a name.. Ryan Rynolds? I know hes got Deadpool and Green L, but is a good fit.

The Narrator: The Better Man
Lol. Awesome. Same here. I got it right before the holiday rush. It was the special edition version at Sam Goody's. No where else had it. Such a movie needs to have more DVD's.
And again Pearce is my choice as DD, and Fincher directing? Holy God what a pair. Good thinking Zany.

Fallen: I could definitely see Guy Pierce as Daredevil. Good choice.
On a side, slightly irrelevant note: I just purchased Memento (took me four stores and half a tank of gas to find it!)

Wheres a writers strike when you need one? Something needs to happen to stall this so Fox can lose their rights to this property, otherwise they're going to f*ck it up.

SCREENWRITER
This is good news, I'd say. I mean, this and Spider Man, now. I'm down. But I heard that Zac Efron is in talks to play Peter Parker for the Spider Man reboot. If that happens then, well I dont know what i'd do but it wouldn't be good.

Whoa, hold the phone...David Scarpa? What about The Day The Earth Stood Still makes anyone think Daredevil? lol I suppose a good writer should be able to branch out to other genres, but it's just so...random.

The Incredible Hulk was a step in the right direction. You have to remember they rebooted it to tie into the Avengers film.

Mutant
It's been seven years all ready, yikes. They could have had two or three more films in that time. What a waste of time, now they want to go back and reboot it. Fox is more dumb than I thought, rebooting is out, lets try a new approach and update it with the release of Wilson Fisk and have Dare Devil track a new threat to the city.
