Danny Boyle Won't Be Directing Lady Vengeance Remake

We reported last month that Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle was in contention to direct an Asian film remake, but it appears that is not the case. MTV Movies Blog is reporting that Boyle will not direct a remake of Chan-wook Park's film, Lady Vengeance, the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed film, Oldboy.

"I've seen the movie. I've seen [Park's] Oldboy and Lady Vengeance" the director said outside the Oscars. "But no I was never going to do that. I don't know where that story came from."

We'll certainly keep you posted on both plans for this remake and any future plans for the recent Oscar-winning director as soon as we have more information.

I think he would be good. He showed some brutality in 28 Days Later.
