Danielle Panabaker Joins The Crazies

Danielle Panabaker is moving from Camp Crystal Lake to the world of George A. Romero. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Panabaker (Friday the 13th) will join the cast of The Crazies remake.

Joe Anderson (The Ruins) has also signed on for the remake, which will center on a small town that is doomed to death when a plane crashes which sets off a biological disease into the town's water supply. Panabaker will play a receptionist at the medical center while Anderson will play the deputy to star Timothy Olyphant's town sherrif character.

Breck Eisner is directing from a script by Scott Kosar and Ray Wright. Michael Aguilar, Dean Georgaris and Rob Cowan are producing with George A. Romero, who directed the original film, executive producing this remake.

The Crazies was released February 26th, 2010 and stars Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, Joe Anderson, Danielle Panabaker, Christie Lynn Smith, Brett Rickaby, Preston Bailey, John Aylward. The film is directed by Breck Eisner.
