In a story from Variety Danielle Panabaker is joining Amber Heard in The Ward from director John Carpenter.

The director is making the film via Echo Lake Entertainment and A Bigger Boat.

The script follows a girl (Heard) who gets sent to a psychiatric ward, and finds out that there is a girl that only comes out at night.

Panabaker will be a patient in the psych ward. She is an uppity girl who constantly faces electroshock therapy.

The script was written by Michael and Shawn Rasmussen and rewritten by Jim Agnew and Sean Keller.

The shoot is set to start next month in Spokane, Washington.
