Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan have signed on to star in The F Word for Goon director Michael Dowse.

The title does not refer to the derogatory word you may think. Daniel Radcliffe stars as Wallace, a young man who meets Chantry (Zoe Kazan) at a party where they hit it off. The problem is, Chantry has a long-term boyfriend, and the duo must navigate through a tenuous friendship, while keeping their feelings at bay.

Elan Mastai (The Samaritan) wrote the screenplay, that landed on the 2008 Black List. The script is based on the play Toothpaste and Cigars by T.J. Dawe and Michael Rinaldi.

Production is scheduled to begin August 15 in Toronto, with casting for supporting roles already under way. The project will mark the first comedy role for Daniel Radcliffe, after starring in the lucrative Harry Potter series, CBS Films' thriller The Woman in Black, and the upcoming indie drama Kill Your Darlings.

@cripple Yeah, I thought he was very funny on Saturday Night Live, when he got the chance to really play with that comedic timing and delivery we got hints of in the Potter films' lighter moments.
