Daniel Craig to Get Scary for Dream House?

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter it looks like Daniel Craig might be starring in the psychological thriller Dream House for Morgan Creek. The actor is currently ironing out a deal with the production company.

The film will be directed by Jim Sheridan from a screenplay by David Loucka.

Craig, should he do the project, will play a father who moves his family to a house that is haunted by the people who used to live there.

The plan is for the actor to take on different sorts of roles but also keep him viable as a commercial actor. He achieved almost instant leading man status with his role in the James Bond films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

The actor just signed up for the the Broadway show "A Steady Rain." He's also eyeing period pieces like The Eagle of the Ninth for Focus Features.
